Glint has to be evil as well. As is glaringly obvious in the abaddon's mouth end scene(that whole, I am the flameseeker line? Since he knew the prophecy, he would be a bit more catious if the chosen were destined to kick his ass too), the flameseeker prophecies ended with the Lich gaining control of the titans. So, if everyone was trying to help our guys release the Door of Komalie, and they all knew what was going to happen, they must be evil too.
The Lich part was obvious since in every cutscene after you give the Scepter to Khilbron, the Lich has the scepter. Just like how Markis is in the Bloodstone Fen end cutscene? I didn't notice that on my first time through though and didn't believe Khilbron that there was a traitor, then when I found out for sure, I told myself khilbron mind-controlled him.

Anyone who can summon spectral boats is ok by me... A few flaming Titans will help, I can see it now, in the Shiverpeaks, all the dwares huddling around the Titan for warmth while he reads them bedtime stories. aaaaw

The white mantle were a bit tougher to peg as being good or bad, but the lich... errr.. Khilbron, geez.
One guy who I was partied with and met Khilbron for the first Time said "yup, he's satan himself. gotta be a bad guy."

All I know is, when I opened my game box, I made it a point to read the manual cover to cover, and noted the mention that perhaps the undead where the "restless" dead from the Orr cataclysm. Then later, when I arrived in kryta, and began getting "decayed orr emblems" from undead drops, I realized that perhaps Orr was not, in fact, all gone, but had soemhow been transmorgrified into the undead hordes, who had an agenda of some nefarious sort.
The lich appears in the cutscene right as you reach lion's arch, then some mysterious Orr survivor comes along who looks like the literal EMBODIMENT od the Egyptian God of war? Yeah right. 2+4=6 in my case

to be honest, i liked vizier, i was a little upset when i found out he was bad. i was thinking that evennia was going to turn out to be bad because of the way that she talks sometimes. maybe im just delirious, but occasionally a bad guy comes along that i do like, like the lich...BTW did you guys know that the lichs tower is just outside of lions arch? if you look to the north east it is a huge huge tower. ive tried to get there but with no success

Although it was obvious he was the lich... I'm hoping he escaped and faked his death at the end.
(You never know tho.. that staff just vanishes in the end.)
I think he had the best voice acting and also in-game character charisma in the game... it'll be awesome if he comes back in some form in Exp 2.
Bright yellow flash... Appears in his Lichmobile.. "Hey ladies... I'm back!"

Khilbron was bad? Man, I'm sorry I didn't notice. Evennia was just TOO distracting (and Siadra, too!). Markis is one flaming idiot to betray hot ladies like that.

I was actually one that was surprised. But it made sense. There was always a sneaking suspicion as to why the Vizier was helping you in all of this. What did he have to gain? He gives his reason as being to defeat the White Mantle and the Mursaat and it all fitted in quite well.
I like the Guild Wars storyline since it has plenty of those twists along the way. Made you wonder who really were the good guys? First you're lead to believe that you shouldn't trust the Krytans by King Adelbern - and it turns out he's half-right (since the ones who represent Kryta in Ascalon were the White Mantle). However, you decide to follow Prince Rurik, where he eventually dies and is made an undead servant of the Lich King. You're then made to believe that the White Mantle are the good guys but once you learn what they do with the Chosen you end up serving the Shining Blade. Of course were the White Mantle and the Mursaat really the bad guys though? They were evil but there was a greater evil lurking in the background (i.e. the Lich King) who the Shining Blade were fooled into assisting (along with the Deldrimor Dwarves) since the Vizier was a facade.
I didn't really think the Vizier and the Lich King were the same since things like the similar voice is quite a superficial thing to look for, especially since he could've simply used magic to have a different voice - plus you see so little of the Lich King before the end-game (i.e. it would've been too obvious for them to be the same person, but turns out they were).

I dunno for you, but in my mind, "Vizier = Evil". All the time, if I see a "Vizier" in a story, he's almost always evil. Same here...

Yah, I knew he was evil at first. I mean, hmmm funny accent, weird looking and likes undead, not too hard to see it.
Also my only idol in this game is Justiciar Hablion. At first, he was cool, killing undead and stuff, but then he murdered all those people and he just became 100 times COOLER! Hats off to Justiciar Hablion!
Yah I always screw my team when we fight him.

I always suspected him, particularly after I saw the Mursaat and realized my misgivings had been right...I mean, how many GOOD guys float around off the ground like that?

Ive always suspected that he's the lich.. but then I began to doubt it because I was thinking, it's just too obvious... way too obvious. In fact at the end of Ring of Fire mission, after he delivered the eulogy to the dead dwarf, I was totally convinced that he's not the Lich. Kinda disappointed instead of surprised that he actually is the Lich cos I was hoping for a major twist like dunno.. Adalbert or Evennia turned out to be the Lich.

The Vizier is always holding the Scepter of Orr... but then when you see the Lich holding the Scepter of Orr, along with undead prince rurik in the cinematic at the end of Thunderhead Keep, it kind of gives it away... atleast for me it did.

the weird accent, the fact that he's the vizier that BLEW UP arah, that fact that he survived the catyclysm, he controls the undead, and he's 7ft tall and he's orrian (is it me or all orrians friggin' tall?). not much you can miss there.
what i want to know is what's in these "Flamseeker Prophecies". it's all jumbled up; meerak the shouter says that ascalon will be destroyed, rurik will lead the ascalons to salvation but will die in the process, the "Chosen" will destroy their oppressors. i haven't heard anymore of the prophecy, so i didn't understand what the lich said when he said "i am the flameseeker!". what still pisses me off is that i haven't managed to kill the undead moron yet. he just won't die on the bloodstone...
and...the white mantle and the mursaat being the good guys? they heard the propehcy, and the part about the "Chosen" overthrowing their opressors. i don't know how they saw themselves as "opressors" but....meh. they killed people so that they would continue to exist, clearly evilness.

Hablion all the way. He can do a cyclone axe so precise it can cut out stupid peasants' throats! He's also a good bargainer, goes for what he wants and won't settle for less.
"I don't care if you get into Lion's Arch, but you seem to want to. So if you help me get rid of these undead I'll take you there. That's the deal. Accept it or I use you as fodder for the undead."
I mean, seriously, he had a host of 20-30 white mantle, he didn't need your party but it would be a big help. He was a level 20 warrior, he could have taken 1/3 of them out himself with how difficult the undead were at that stage.
I love the whole seals to the door of Komalie that would unleash the titans if opened. Question though... a party of eight can take out a couple titans... so how did the Lich expect to control Tyria with just 6?
Maybe it's because you are ascended that you're superstrong and can take the titans on I suppose...
I think the Druids should be a bigger part of the game. They were too much like the goddamn elves in LOTR (the books).
"Handle your own troubles, we're a selfish race that doesn't care for whatever problems you have."
Honestly, their precious jungle might have been destroyed, they should stand up for it!
The Mursaat should have been the guardians of the Seals or something, that way you could team up with them to fight the Lich. But then they would have to be ignorant of the flameseeker prophecies to have the White Mantle killing Chosen... and it wouldn't make sense that they would be ignorant of possibly the biggest tie to their treasure.
